Well it all began Dec. 23 with the arrival of cell (Monclick, 370 € ss included):
... Then the tragedy, the phone was dead, or more technically speaking, DOA (death-on-arrival)
Sent back to Monclick, Wednesday is RI-back a new phone at home.
Specifies that already the first time I got to use it for a few hours before it decides to collapse while trying to make a call.
The package comes as you see full of accessories, are in addition to the usual charger, booklets, cd, data cable and headphones also something new and that is a cradle for the phone, a semi-soft case, pick the color of a cell chosen and a spare stylus for the touch.
The phone externally looks good, the "case" is solid and good finish, you feel crunches or noises of any kind, you notice immediately after the 3.2MP camera with dual LED flash. Before we see the three physical buttons (green button - Menu - Key red) in the lower region, while taking place in the upper respectively the proximity sensor that turns off the screen during the call and the secondary camera. On the left are the openings to insert sim and memory card (8GB included) while the right side we find the button to raise / lower volume and key for the camera.
Coming to the phone software, this is the first Symbian 9.4 5th edition, by accessing the menu has been a broad overview with 12 icons large enough to be pressed with your fingers. After the first hours of what most struck me was definitely different modes of writing: full-screen qwerty keyboard, qwerty keyboard, small screen, alphanumeric keypad (classical) with T9 and handwriting. I leave a YouTube video to allow understanding of what is said.
Speaking of touch, I must admit that is very precise, writing with the qwerty keyboard is relatively easy, whereas my hands are pretty big and that mobile phone use it for just 4 days I can say that I am more than satisfied and that it is difficult wrong letter, the tactile feedback is also adjustable to 3 different intensities depending on your preference.
Going to see the GPS, the first fix was made in less than 30 seconds with the 'A-GPS enabled, even if everything is perfect when there is no navigation software compatible.
The photographic part I would not judge her as inexperienced (and also because I use very little), I refer you to a great review very detailed read on Juza Nature .
As for the audio portion, I read on many forums for people with speaker phone, I personally have not experienced this defect
(Volume up and down). The reception is excellent, much better than my old N95 8gb , sound is clear and clean. The built-in speakers are great for hands-free calls.
Battery life is about 2 days with an average use personally an hour wifi, gps 10min, 10-15 SMS per day, viewing some pictures, some application installed and 4-5 short calls I'm with three notches at the moment and the 'I disconnected from the charger yesterday morning. The phone has been switched off during the night (7am). Being only the second charge, however, is a given with caution.
As for compatible software, when I installed the following:
- Guardian Platinum -> 100% compatible
- Google Maps -> Good compatibility, no bugs, but to improve
- Opera Mini -> Good compatibility, bug screen rotation, to tweak
- Free Txt by Vyke -> 100% compatible
- Handy Suite -> 100% compatible
On the phone I applied the protective film Brando ultraclear there costs 5 € including shipping and stands recommended by China. Board to make a hole in proximity sensor, because it may give you problems call.
To be continued ...
